Entregando premios, que es gerundio (y II)

El viernes 2 de mayo pasado, en el IES Santiago Santana, ante un nutrido grupo de alumnos y con la presencia de la vicedirectora del centro, Ángela López Hernández, y la tutora del grupo D de 1º de la ESO, Cirenia Martín Henríquez, nuestra decana y nuestro secretario procedieron a entregar el primer premio del concurso de lemas que se celebró el pasado 14 de abril y del que ya dimos amplia cobertura.

La ganadora, que recibió un diploma acreditativo y una camiseta con su lema, fue Adriana Ruiz Vega, a quien auguramos un gran futuro en el mundo de las palabras. Sabe que en nuestra facultad tiene las puertas abiertas por si quiere seguir ese apasionante camino.

Giving prizes, Which Is Gerund (and II)

Last Friday, May 2, at the IES Santiago Santana, in front of a large group of students and with the presence of the vice-director of the center, Ángela López Hernández, and the tutor of group D of 1st of the ESO, Cirenia Martín Henríquez, our dean and our secretary proceeded to give the first prize of the slogan contest that was held on April 14 and of which we already gave wide coverage.

The winner, who received a diploma and a shirt with her motto, was Adriana Ruiz Vega, to whom we augur a great future in the world of words. She knows our faculty has its doors open if she wants to follow that exciting path.

If you can dream it, you can achieve it!

Una charla inspiradora de parte de María Reinaldos y una visita inolvidable a Aldeas Infantiles.

María Reinaldos, directora de Hogares de Aldeas Infantiles, impartió una charla en el marco del proyecto If you can dream it, you can achieve it!, que propone la creación de un libro de cuentos motivacionales por parte del alumnado de Inglés I del Grado en Lenguas Modernas en colaboración con niños y adolescentes de Aldeas Infantiles.

Profesorado y alumnado de la asignatura Inglés I visitaron a los Hogares de Aldeas Infantiles para hacer una actividad con los niños dentro del marco del proyecto (se recogieron los dibujos de la foto).

«If you can dream it, you can achieve it!«

An inspiring talk by Maria Reinaldos and an unforgettable visit to Aldeas Infantiles.

Maria Reinaldos, director of Hogares de Aldeas Infantiles, gave a talk in the framework of the project If you can dream it, you can achieve it! , which proposes the creation of a book of motivational stories by the students of English I of the Degree in Modern Languages in collaboration with children and teenagers of Aldeas Infantiles.

Teachers and students of the subject English I visited Hogares de Aldeas Infantiles to do an activity with the children within the framework of the project (the drawings in the photo were collected).

Nuestra alumna Verónica Vera Bordón, premiada en el Concurso Buenas Prácticas ULPGC-Santander

Jornadas de acogida a estudiantes de Grado

Quién lo iba a decir: ya empezamos un nuevo curso e hicimos lo que se hace en estos casos: agasajar a quienes por primera vez llegan a nuestras aulas. El equipo decanal y quienes se responsabilizan de que todo en la Universidad vaya sobre ruedas (la administración y la Biblioteca; responsables de grados y de tutorías) explicaron en dos sesiones de mañana y tarde los entresijos de la vida universitaria en el edificio de Humanidades.

Gracias por estar aquí y esperamos que su trayectoria académica sea grata y provechosa. No se olviden que la vida universitaria no es solo el estudio y la asistencia a las clases. Aprovechen el tiempo todo lo que puedan porque esta experiencia solo se vive una vez.

Welcome Days for Degree Students

Who was going to say it: we already started a new academic year and we did what is done in these cases: to entertain those who first arrive in our classrooms. The dean’s team and those responsible for everything at the University go smoothly (the administration and the Library; responsible for degrees and tutorials) explained in two morning and afternoon sessions the intricacies of university life in the Humanities building.

Thank you for being here and we hope your academic career will be pleasant and profitable. Do not forget that university life is not only study and attendance at classes. Make the most of your time because this experience is only experienced once.
